Our trade fair team from Lithec GmbH and LithecUSA: Will Pütz, Amanda Tillman, Peter Petrow, Clyde Tillman and Thomas Fuchs

The fair showed that also offset printers in the USA are increasingly relying on retrofits. In this field, Lithec is the only provider of retrofittable excellent value Inline measuring systems in a very good market position. Accordingly, many customers and retailers visited the stand of our joint venture „LithecUSA“ and obtained information about the wide range of retrofitting options. „LithoFlash Inline“ on the sheetfed and webfed printing presses of Koenig & Bauer, RMGT and Heidelberger DM were of particular interest. But also with manroland, Komori and rather exotic machines such as GOSS further projects could soon arise.
The fair lasted only 3 days. The program was densly packed, especially on the second day. Already at 8:00 interested customers and the press met for an hour at a working breakfast on the topic of LithoFlash®. Discussion kept coming around the extremely short ROI times of less than 10 months. These were explicitly confirmed by the two first users of the LithoFlash® in the USA. Customers praised quite enthusiastically the improvement of working conditions, shorter makeready times and quality improvement. Thomas Fuchs, CEO of Lithec GmbH in Germany, explained the advantages of the partnership with the Access Group and the genesis of the measuring system. Highly technical issues were discussed on dynamic control which is essential for physically achieving as fast as possible a stable density.

But there was also a lot of fun. Our partner Clyde Tillman, chairman of the Access Group and CEO of LithecUSA, invited customers and business associates on the second evening to a get-together in the “Howl at the moon”. The music bar is located in the hippiest district of Chicago. Typical for the bar are titles desired of the audience, alternately interpreted by 8 musicians. Over 100 invited guests and the rest of the audience celebrated with enthusiasm the 3 songs performed by Clyde Tillman and our sales manager Will Pütz as a guest act.
